ABQ Home Sales November

Home sales in the Albuquerque, NM area for November proved to be typical for the month, except in one respect: It was was the first time since 2005 that sales of detached, resale homes increased from October.

The increase was slight up 2.85% to 469 closings, or 13 more homes sold. Every other market indicator fell in a month to onth comparison, as is expected this time of year. Pending sales dropped 655 in October to 589 last month.There were 595 homes under contract in November, 2009.

Median price range=$177,500
Average price range=$220,453

Both the median and the average show an increase over last year when the median was $175,750 and the average was $209,243.

When looking at a 10 year history for the month of November, home sales prices were the equivalent of what they were in 2005 and significantly higher than all years prior to that.
