Infestation Representation

When you get a pest inspection on a home, make sure that your contract reflects the results of the inspection and the buyers’ and sellers’ responsibilities in light of those results. Some buyers will come back years later and attempt to sue for damages or even a refund if an infestation occurs.

One of the most important parts of any inspection is to put things in writing and be sure to have the inspector sign, initial and or both all documents and findings.

And most important, always remember that it easier to have items from a contract or addendum removed than it is to have those items placed in the contract post any findings.
